For Development of Education of Children with Disabilities
As the state has taken a benevolent measure to establish a nationwide education support system for the disabled, efforts are being directed to perfecting the teaching contents and methods as suited to the features of disabled persons and their different ages.
In close cooperation with relevant units the Korea Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disability scientifically estimated the intellectual conditions of disabled children and intensified research for educational methods, and is accumulating theories and experience necessary for their education through experiments.
Based on this, the centre developed subjects according to the categories of disabilities and different ages and made a great contribution to compiling “Pedagogy for disabled children”.
