According to the agreements between the DPRK and China as well as to the DPRK Law on Rason Economic and Trade Zone and its regulations, the Management Committee of the Rason Economic and Trade Zone is in charge of the management and operation of Rajin Port and its adjacent industrial and logistics areas (8 ㎢ in all), Sonbong Paekhak Industrial and Tourist Park (22 ㎢) and other industrial parks and districts in the Zone (470 ㎢).
