Int’l Children’s Day Marked by Children with Disabilities

A gathering of children with disabilities took place at the gymnasium of the extracurricular sports school in Taedonggang District, Pyongyang, on June 1 to mark June 1 International Children`s Day.

Present there were Jon Chol Hi, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled, officials concerned, children with disabilities, children of Tongmun Kindergarten No. 2 in Taedonggang District, nurses, teachers and parents.

Speeches were made at the gathering, followed by colourful art performance and sports and amusement games of children with disabilities and kindergarten children.

Put on the stage were various numbers, including janggu ensemble “The day of Marshal Kim Jong Un’s visit is the happiest day” and poem and song “We yearn for Marshal Kim Jong Un.” The children were full of joy and optimism as they were growing up happily under the warm care of the motherly Workers’ Party of Korea.

The children with disabilities showed well their looks fully enjoying happy life thanks to the policy of the most advantageous socialist system on the protection of persons with disabilities.
