About
A sanatorium for the sake of persons with disabilities is to be built in Pyongyang, the capital of the DPRK. It will cover a building area of 4 000 square metres, a plottage of 8 000 square metres and a total floor space of 28 000 square metres. Its construction cost will amount to 10 million US dollars.
It will be built in the clean Munsu area, a hub of hospitals. Provided with complete sets of modern equipment and facilities, it will offer rehabilitation service to the persons with disabilities and produce various kinds of prosthetic orthopaedic devices and assistive appliances for them. Medical service will be provided for the persons with disabilities not only at home but from abroad and their guardians.
Its construction is a very important project for opening up a new path in the work for the protection of persons with disabilities in the DPRK. The sanatorium will serve as a base for curing those persons and improving their education, job opportunity and physical and cultural life and play the role of a bridge for promoting cooperation with international organizations and individual bodies at home and abroad that engage themselves in the work for the care of the disabled persons.
The KFPD Central Committee looks forward to active interest, cooperation and investment from international organizations, humanitarian bodies and individual figures for the project.
