I Love You

On December 3 last year, to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, an art group of the Korean Art Association of the Disabled gave a performance, titled I Love You, at the Central Youth Hall in Pyongyang, the capital of the Democratic People`s Republic of Korea.

Despite their visual, hearing and physical impairments, the performers skillfully danced and played such instruments as accordion and kayagum, leaving a deep impression upon the audience.

After the performance was over, some asked the art group members how they could acquire such excellent skills.

The latter said that they and other persons with disabilities in the country are living with optimism and confidence in a bright future, adding that among them there are many soloists who major in singing, dancing and instrumental music.

The performance vindicated the vitality of the DPRK`s policy on the protection of persons with disabilities.
