Day of Persons with Disabilities Marked
A meeting took place at the Sci-Tech Complex on June 18 to mark Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Present there were Jon Chol Hi, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled, officials and employees from relevant units, persons with disabilities and their families.
Speeches were made at the meeting.
Speakers said that under the care of the Workers` Party of Korea, persons with disabilities are enjoying the benefits of the state according to the socialist policies in all sectors of social life and realizing their desires and talents to the full.
Donation certificates were awarded to those who have actively supported persons with disabilities, and the achievements made by the disabled were introduced.
The participants in the meeting watched a video dealing with the work to protect the disabled in recent years and looked round the exhibits presented by the disabled.
Meanwhile, a performance marking Day of Persons with Disabilities was given by members of the art group of the Korean Art Association of the Disabled at the Chongjin Theatre.
