Continuing Affection
One December day last year, the mobile phone of Pak Un Chol, a disabled man living in Ryokpho District of Pyongyang Municipality, kept ringing from early morning. It was International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
He was deeply moved to hear the voices of those who have devoted their sincerity for him for many years.
At that time there was a knock at the door, and Kim Hyon, studying at the University of National Economy, entered the room. Several years ago they happened to meet at a tree nursery. Kim Hyon, who was on a business trip there, could not take his eyes off the disabled young man conducting motivational work. Since then, they fraternized with each other.
That day, Pak Un Chol deeply realized once again that he enjoys a worthwhile life thanks to the socialist system in which prevails a social climate of helping the persons with disabilities.
