The restoration and repair works of many historical sites are being carried out actively.
The senior officer, Choe Chan Hyon said that the restoration work of Taehung Temple in Kaesong and the repair works of over 40 historical sites like Taeung Halls of Pohyon Temple in Hyangsan County, North Phyongan Province and Ryonghung temple in Yonggwang County, South Hamgyong Province, South Gate of Kyongsong in Kyongsong County, North Hamgyong Province and Myongryun Hall of Koryo Songgyungwan in Kaesong City are being carried out.
The restoration and repair works are expected to be completed by this year.
The principle of remaining faithful to the historical truth and scientific accuracy are regarded as of great importance in the works.
The Taehung Temple was built in 1359, the Pohyon Temple in 1042, the Ryonghung Temple in 1048, South Gate of Kyongsong in 1433 and Koryo Songgyungwan in 992, respectively. Remarkable talent of our nation is permeated in these architectures.
