The Sinphung-ri site, which helps to understand people’s activity process of that time of how they hunted in the flat areas, is a valuable historic site that shows the inheritance relation between the Paleolithic era and the Neolithic era.
Excavation of this site has an important scientific significance in proving clearly that culture of the Neolithic era, which came from later culture of the Paleolithic era, had developed independently on this land by our nation.
