Ullim Falls
Ullim Falls is situated 15 ri away from Tonghung-ri, Chonnae County, Kangwon Province.
Ullim Falls, 75m high, is one of the famous waterfalls in our country. The waterfall has been called Ullim because the majestic waterfall echoes the whole valley to the distance.
It is surrounded by a series of high -rise peaks and enclosed by sharp-cut cliffs beneath. The water from the Masikryong Range has reached this place and is pouring down at the hillside of the cliffs, echoing the valley with a mass of 20 to 25cubic meters per second. Below the waterfall there is a pool about 1.5m deep and 30m radius. Here are fish including potulchi and rainbow trout.
The magnificent scenery of Ullim Falls and its neat surroundings command a splendid view. Kusul Falls, Pidan Falls and Six Pools in the opposite valley are also famous for their exquisite and beautiful scenery. In the surrounding area there are various facilities including sightseeing paths, spillway dams, bridges and parking lots and they serve as a cultural resort for the people.
