With minute particulars

On June 16th, Juche 69 (1980) when President Kim Il Sung held a meeting, he told the officials a story that had happened during his visit to a foreign country on last May.

At dinner, the President of the host country who had a deep affection and respect for President Kim Il Sung for a long time told that the garlic was an aphoxide to protect against influenza, regarding it as a precious medicine.

President Kim Il Sung asked him whether they had planted garlic from ancient times in his country. He answered that they had recently learnt how to eat it from the Asian people.

Ended the story, President Kim Il Sung said to the officials that the Europeans had not known those like Koryo medicines or garlic and recently began to eat them.

He continued that our ancestors had used various Koryo medicines from ancient times that would be a good example of which we could be proud of our nation with a long history of 5 000 years and brilliant culture in the eyes of the world, and, thereby, we should have high national pride and honour.

With such minute particulars as experienced during the visit to a foreign country, the President gave a good teaching to the officials to instill high pride and confidence in excellence of the Korean nation.
