To increase the supply of sundae

Sundae (Korean sausage) is one of the typical folk foods that our people have enjoyed from the old times.

The historic books like Siuijonso, Puinphilji, Umsikjimibang which were written in the period of the feudal Joson dynasty record that sundae, the favorite food of Korean people, has many varieties such as pig-intestines sundae, cattle-intestines sundae, pollack sundae and squid sundae.

Our people have created a good custom to make sundae on auspicious occasions like holidays or weddings and to serve it to the neighbors.

On November, Juche 45(1956), the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung visited the Ryongsong Meat Processing Factory and looked over the variety of the processed meat. Saying that Korean people were fond of sundae since old times, he taught that the even a drop of blood should not be thrown away because lots of blood were needed for making sundae that suited to the taste of the Koreans, and that the intestines with animal fats, not those of sheep, should be used for it.

On that day, the great leader also took benevolent steps to supply sundae to the people, while increasing its production and improving its quality at the factory.

Afterwards, the factory, as instructed by the great leader, boosted the production of good-quality sundae and supplied to the network of stores.
