Noodle competition between Okryu Restaurant, Chongnyu Restaurant and Pyongyang Noodle House held

   Noodle competition between Okryu Restaurant, Chongnyu Restaurant and Pyongyang Noodle House was held in Okryu Restaurant.

   It took place in the way to evaluate the Pyongyang cold noodle, noodle with meat shreds in flat vessel and meat stock prepared by the experienced cooks from the units.

   Specialists consisted of the officials and researchers from the Central Committee of the Korean Association of Cooks and the Pyongyang Jang Chol Gu University of Commerce and the selected staffs from public catering establishments of the Guidance Bureau of Public Catering Service and the Pyongyang People’s Committee participated in the examination of the competition.

   Upholding the Party’s will to encourage national food and to develop food culture, competitors fully displayed their cooking skills that had been trained during the service activities. Keeping traditional characteristics and modern aesthetic tastes in kneading noodle pressing, preparing garnishings, putting noodles into soup and so on, they presented splendid dishes.

   In the competition, highly appreciated cooks were presented medals and certificates and were awarded prizes.
