Chonju Falls is located in a deep valley 14 km away from Puyon-ri, Sinhung County, South Hamgyong Province.

The waterfall cascades down two times; first from a granite cliff with a gradient of 80 degrees and then from another with a gradient of 70 degrees.

With a total height of 60 metres, its width is two metres in the dry season and ten metres in the rainy season.

The waterfall is overgrown with such trees as oak, maple, Aceraceae meno, etc.

It presents thrilling and beautiful scenery in harmony with its surrounding plants.
