Mt Kumgang, a famous mountain of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, was inscribed on the list of world cultural and natural heritage.

The 47th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, held in Paris, recognized that Mt Kumgang serves as a world-class cultural and natural scenic spot, in which cultural tradition, natural ecosystem and beautiful scenery are in a delicate harmony, and decided to put it on the world cultural and natural heritage list.
