Such natural scenic attractions as Mts. Paektu, Kumgang, Myohyang, Chilbo and Kuwol are ecotourism resources well-known across the world.
The DPRK is also rich in animal and plant resources for developing ecotourism. It has animal reserves, plant reserves, nature reserves and seabird reserves, which provide very favourable conditions for developing ecotourism.
According to the measures taken by the state, the work for developing ecotourism is being promoted vigorously.
