The Central Botanical
Garden of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is a base for botanical
scientific research and education, as well as a recreation ground for the
people.
It has recently added to its plant sphere
more than 30 species, including Quercus
anguste lepidata, Corylus sieboldiana, Meliosma myriantha, Quercus donarium,
Vitis fiexuosa, Sapium japonicum, Meliosma oldhamii, Populus simonii, Lonicera
maximowiczii, Echinopanax elatum and Cotoneaster
integerrima medic.
