A Classroom Overflowing with Warm Affection

There is a cosy classroom for two pupils with hearing impairment at Taedu Primary School in Hanggu District, Nampho.
Thanks to the state policy of giving importance to the education of persons with disabilities, the classroom is fully provided with electronic appliances, books, teaching aids and furnishings.
Here, Kang Ryu Mi, a girl teacher, gives education in sign language for the pupils.
She has achieved some success in her work, and now she feels easy in sharing her feelings with them. But, during the first month of her career with them, she was so nervous that she shed tears almost every day and even decided to give up her job.
Whenever she felt disappointed, the officials of the school explained the policy on the protection of persons with disabilities and gave her active support and assistance with advanced teaching materials helpful to her work. Her colleagues helped her preparing teaching aids and ensured that her two pupils attended nature study and outdoor lessons so that they lived and played together with other pupils.
Not only the teaching staff and pupils of the school but also officials from central and district organs prepared with sincerity school things, confectionery and daily necessities for the two pupils.
Such a moving story can be found only in socialist society of the Korean style, a people`s paradise overflowing with warm affection.
