A Student with Disability
Today, the people in the DPRK are enrolled in the study-while-you-work system according to their desires and prepare themselves into intelligent workers who will contribute to social progress by dint of knowledge and technology.
Among them is Pak Un Ha with hearing impairment, who works as a sign language interpreter of the Sign Language Interpreters` Association of Korea.
At present she is studying at the distance education faculty of Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry. With a determination to repay the loving care and trust of the Workers’ Party of Korea, she works hard to prepare herself as a competent person possessed of wide-ranging sci-tech knowledge and devotes herself to developing an AI-based program for the machine translation of Korean sign language for persons with hearing impairment.
