Children with Disabilities Mark Int’l Children’s Day

A meeting of children with disabilities took place at the gymnasium of the Taedonggang District Juvenile Extracurricular Sports School in Pyongyang on June 1 to mark June 1 International Children`s Day.

Present there were Jon Chol Hi, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korea Federation for the Protection of the Persons with Disabilities, officials concerned, children with disabilities, children of the Tongmun Kindergarten No. 2 in Taedonggang District, nurses, teachers and parents.

Song Hyang Chun, head of the Korea Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disabilities, made a speech, to be followed by an artistic performance of children with disabilities and kindergarteners.

Put on the stage were small chorus The day when the Marshal came is a happy holiday and Twinkling little stars and other numbers. The performers expressed joy and optimism of the bright and happy children growing up under the warm and meticulous care of the motherly Workers` Party of Korea.

And cheerful and high-spirited children competed in the sports and amusement games amid parents’ enthusiastic cheers, adding to the pleasure of the holiday.

The meeting showed the appearance of children fully enjoying the happiest life in the world, under the benevolent socialist system.
