Day of Persons with Disabilities Marked

A meeting took place at the Sci-Tech Complex on June 17 to mark Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Present there were Jon Chol Hi, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korea Federation for the Protection of the Persons with Disabilities, officials and employees of relevant units, persons with disabilities and their families.

Speeches were made at the meeting.

Speakers referred to the fact that persons with disabilities are bringing their hopes and talents into full bloom, enjoying the benefits in all sectors of social life under the care of the Workers` Party of Korea and the state.

At the meeting, donation certificates were awarded to those who have actively supported persons with disabilities in a bid to add more beauty to the large socialist family overflowing with noble virtue and affection, and the achievements made in the work to protect the disabled were introduced.

The participants watched a video dealing with the work to protect the disabled in recent years and looked round the exhibits presented by persons with disabilities.
