Visit to Mangyongdae

On the occasion of the auspicious April holiday, officials and employees of the Central Committee of the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled visited Mangyongdae, the time-honoured birthplace of President Kim Il Sung and the cradle of the revolutionary and patriotic spirit of Korea.

At the low, straw-thatched house associated with his sacred traces, they looked back on the revolutionary career of the President who devoted his all for the liberation of the country and the welfare of the people since he left the house.

On Mangyong Hill, which had been frequented by the President in his childhood to nurture a high aim for national liberation, they feasted their eyes on the ever-changing, magnificent capital city of Pyongyang and were firmly determined to add lustre to the immortal revolutionary exploits of the President who built a socialist power, independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence on this land.
