Korean Sports Association of the Disabled
Ten years have passed since the Korean Sports Association of the Disabled was established on August 10, 2011, under the special concern of the Party and the state for the protection of persons with disabilities.
This year, too, the association will play an important role in defending the rights of persons with disabilities and realizing their hope for sports, disseminating sporting activities among the disabled at home and attaining goals set forth by the International Paralympic Committee.
It also will increase the number of events for Paralympics and select and train the excellent sportspersons with disabilities at home and further strengthen exchange and cooperation with international organizations and national associations and sports groups for the disabled in foreign countries.
Along with this, it`ll hold the sports games of persons with disabilities and amateurs so as to encourage the disabled people to take part in sports activities, provide enough sports conditions for them, and promote the social awareness and interest in the sports of persons with disabilities.
