There is an enthusiastic coach who devotes her affection on sportspersons with disabilities. She is none other than Mun Hyang Mi, 35, table tennis coach of the Korean Sports Association of the Disabled. In general, a coach is a person who is in charge of training players and managing situations of games of a sports team. This is why people usually think that coach is a strict teacher. Miss Mun with beautiful appearance and reflective mind trained a person with disability as a table tennis star in international competitions of the disabled. In December, 2016 she saw Kim Yong Rok who won the gold medal in the table tennis tournament of persons with disabilities and amateurs held in Nampho under the auspices of the Korean Sports Association of the Disabled. Yong Rok has to fasten racket to his amputated arm with elastic band. What can I do for him? She made up her mind to train him as the table tennis star, but it was not an easy job. Kim should learn table tennis from ABC because he had already trained it by different amateurs, not experts. Many other problems should be solved including those of weak drive and low velocity, use of special rubber, and prevention and treatment of contagion-affected part, and washing of his several training wear. After painstaking efforts in training fields for hundreds of days, Kim finally participated in international games. He won a gold medal in the category of TT6-7 of the ITTF Asian Para Championships 2019, and a gold in the category of TT6-7 and a bronze in the category of TT7 of the 2019 ITTF Bangkok Open Para Championships, bringing about glory to his motherland.
